Film Club

The programmes of the Film Club of Government Brennen College for the year
2019-2020 was inaugurated by the crew members of the film Kakshi Amminipilla
on 10th July 2019. The director of the film Mr.Dhinjith Ayyanthan was the chief
guest, and the function was presided over by the convenor of the film club Mr.
Arun E. Karunakaran. The film club has conducted an international film festival
in association with the college union on 27th of July 2019. Mr Girish, director of
the short film Pullanji , which secured so many awards, inaugurated the film
festival. Almost 15 short films were presented in the festival. The club members
honoured director Girish in the function. Discussions were conducted on many
classical films.

Entrepreneurship Development Club

Since 2010 an active Entrepreneurship Development Club is present in the college. This
was registered with Directorate of Industries and Commerce (DIC), Govt. of Kerala (Reg.
No. EDC/KNR/01/10) in the year 2010. One of the main objectives of the Club is to
inculcate entrepreneurial traits in the member students. A committee of teachers controls
the activities of ED Club in the college. The committee consists of Coordinators, one
each from teachers and students, teachers nominated by the Principal and interested
students as members. At present there are 70 student members from various departments.
It organizes programs such as interaction with successful entrepreneurs, workshops,
seminars, exhibitions etc. with the financial support of District Industries Centre and PTA
of the College. In 2016 and 2019, selected member students participated in the residential
training program organized by the Kerala Institute for Entrepreneurship Development
(KIED), Kalamassery, Kerala at Kalamassery which gave them valuable inputs in the
areas- procedures for starting a business unit, preparing a business proposal etc. Various
government departments, non- governmental organizations such as Junior Chamber of
Commerce, and recognized business units associate with us for conducting various
programs every year. As part of the programs of ED club eminent persons namely
Dr.Raveendranath, Sri. Vinod Narayanan, Mrs. Safna A, Sri. Shaji M etc visited the
college and interacted with the student members at different occasions.

BHOOMITHRASENA CLUB

Boo Mithra Sena Club is sponsored by the Directorate of Environment
and Climate Change, Govt. of Kerala, for strengthening the commitment of
students at the college level in the Kerala State.
