The subject Statistics had been taught at under-graduate level for the disciplines of Mathematics in the Brennen College since 1947. In 2017, the department started Graduate Programme in Statistics with complementary courses Mathematics and Computer Science under Kannur University. Now the department handling the subject Statistics for Graduate Courses Statistics, Mathematics and Economics and Post Graduate Course Economics. Department of Statistics in the Brennen College is the fourth department offering B.Sc. Statistics degree course in colleges affiliated to the Kannur University
