Work Experience | I began my professional journey at S.N. College, Kannur, as an FIP substitute in 2003. The following year, I joined the School of Physical Education & Sports Sciences,Kannur University. From 2005 to 2009, I served at Payyanur College, Payyanur, on a permanent post. Positions Held | Since 2023, I have been serving as the Chairman for the valuation of Physical Education at Kannur University. I am currently the hostel warden for both the ladies’ and gents’ hostels at Government Brennen College. From 2012 to 2016, I held the position of Vice President of the Kannur District Athletic Association. I was elected as the General Captain of the College Union during my degree studies at Nirmalagiri College, Koothuparamba. | |
Professional commitment | Government Brennen College is recognized as the best sports-performing college in Kannur University, with numerous national and international sportspersons among its students. In 2016, we proudly received the prestigious G.V. Raja Award for the best performing college in Kerala. Beyond mentoring these talented athletes, I also teach an open course for fifth-semester students and the MDC course for first-semester students, aiming to enhance the physical fitness of all students, including those not actively participating in sports. Additionally, we encourage college staff to engage in various physical activity programs and competitions. Our college regularly hosts intramural competitions for students, and I deliver health and fitness sessions to other colleges, professional organizations, the sports council, and schools. | |
Sports Achievements | I won medals in decathlon at Calicut University during my college days. Represented Kannur University and Pondicherry University in the All India Inter University Athletic Meet. I have won multiple gold medals in Javelin Throw at the state-level Masters and Civil Service meets. In 2023, I secured a silver medal at the South India Athletic Meet held in Udupi, followed by a bronze medal at the All India Masters Athletic Meet in Pune in 2024.
