The Department of Zoology is one of the pioneering departments of Government Brennen College, along with the establishment of the college. It became a UG department in the year 1957. It was upgraded to PG department in the year 2016. The department is equipped with sophisticated instruments to conduct experiments in the areas like Molecular Taxonomy, Genomics, Environmental science, Entomology etc. Owing to the reputation and excellence of this department, it could attract top level students from all over the state and union territory of Lakshadweep.
