Govt. Brennen College, with its glorious legacy of over 130 years, has been the pioneering institution of Higher education in Malabar. The alumni and faculty of the college have made stellar contributions to the political, literary, cultural, scientific, and entrepreneurial firmaments since its inception which includes the current Chief Minister of Kerala, Minister of state for external affairs, Govt. of India, Jnanpith awardees, etc. In its pursuit to be a centre of excellence in higher education, the college has traversed many milestones. The physical infrastructure of the college now boasts of a synthetic track, the biggest library in a Govt. College in the State, the Quasquicentennial hall, new academic blocks, etc. The institutional frameworks built around the teaching-learning process like BREXA, BICCS, Potheri Kunjambu Study centre, AKAM Samskarika Vedi, The NSS, and NCC are nonpareil in the services rendered to the larger community. New programs in MSc Chemistry, BCom, and MA Governance were introduced. Recently organized National and International conferences, National Bio-Diversity Congress, Kerala science Congress, Brennen Expo, Brennen Thalassery Book Fair, Literary fests, drama and film festivals, Artists collective, painting exhibitions, etc speak volumes about the vibrancy and commitment of the Brennen fraternity in enhancing the spirit of enlightenment, contributing to the exchange of ideas and opening the vistas of knowledge to all and sundry. Let us all join hands in our endeavor to make this college with the heritage status the epitome of excellence, quality education, research,and community service.
